What Are Apparel Measurements?

When you shop at Shasak, you’ll notice our size chart reflects the actual garment measurements, not body measurements. This means you can take a kurta or shirt that already fits you well, measure it at home, and choose your Shasak size accordingly.

What You Need:

1. A soft measuring tape (inches/cm)
2. A well-fitted kurta or shirt
3. A flat surface (like a bed or table)
4. A notepad or phone to note size.

How to Take Apparel Measurements for Men’s Kurta

1. Chest (Pit to Pit)

• Lay the kurta flat. Measure from one armpit to the other.
• Double it to get the full chest measurement.

For example: If it’s 21 inches pit to pit, the chest size is 42 inches.

2. Shoulder Width

Measure straight across the top of the back, from one shoulder seam to the other.

3. Kurta Length

From the highest shoulder point (near the collar), measure straight down to where you want the kurta to end.

4. Sleeve Length

From the shoulder seam down to the end of the sleeve.

5. Neck Circumference (Optional)

Measure around the inside of the collar if the kurta has a band-style neckline.
